Educating the Physically Challenged

IAEF is providing support in the use of music as a learning tool (as well as a means of physiotherapy) for children with physical handicaps (e.g., victims of polio and other muscular-neurological disorders). The first such project is being launched at the Rehabilitation Center for Children (Kolkata).

New programs are being developed to support children with multiple disabilities in partnership with Sweekaar (Hyderabad), a charitable organization that treats, educates, and rehabilitates disabled children.

IAEF also supports A.I.A.K.B.S (Wardha, Maharashtra), Mahila Vikas (Orissa), Mitra Social Service Society(Andhra Pradesh), Prayas Seva Sansthan (Jharkhand), Rehabilitation Centers for Children (Kolkata),Saraswati Sevabhavi Sanstha (Maharashtra), Snehalaya Trust (Gawalior), Society for Child Development(New Delhi), Society for Helping Action (Andhra Pradesh), Timbaktu Foundation (Bangalore), and Latika Roy Foundation (Dehradun).
